Become a Docent

Docent Membership/Training is open to those interested in learning about the Peninsula’s local nature and cultural history.  Graduates of the program will be able to personalize and share this knowledge by conducting tours of the Point Vicente Interpretive Center.  Docents may also choose to lead outdoor tours to Abalone Cove, Forrestal Preserve/Ladera Linda, and/or Ocean Trails at Trump National.  There are many other opportunities to serve on various committees, work on special projects and pursue other endeavors that advance the organizational mission.

The next training classes, conducted by Specialist Ann Zellers, will start during September 2024 at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center located at 31501 Palos Verdes Drive West, Rancho Palos Verdes.  Classes will be held on eight (8) consecutive Wednesdays from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm either in a classroom setting or on a field trip.  The class format will mainly be in-person interactive, hands-on sessions. Please note that the training protocol will be flexible and sensitive to current COVID restrictions.

If you are interested in joining or would like additional information concerning Los Serenos de Point Vicente, please contact Ann Zellers. Or, if you prefer, you can complete the membership application by clicking on the Form below and mailing it to the address on the form.
